The gendered machine∑ Will the human‚s disposition for categorising things cause a binary split for the machine as well? Or will the merging of human and machine see a breakdown of gendered dichotomies? The gendered machine is closer to our hearts than we can imagine, physically we are already unconsciously becoming machines through pacemakers and tooth fillings; the constant shift between the two states of reality and virtual reality can either transcend the idea of the split between human/machine or forge a new class of categories that determines the gender of a machine.
